Terence Crawford net worth is $50 million in 2026, according to Celebrity Net Worth. “Bud” Crawford retired undefeated with a 42-0 record, 31 knockouts, world championships in five weight divisions, and one of the most accomplished résumés in modern boxing. He also built a real estate portfolio valued at more than $20 million, consisting of nearly 80 residential and commercial properties purchased without mortgages.

    Professional record 42-0, 31 knockouts
World titles champion in five divisions, undisputed in three
Career ring earnings more than $100 million
Biggest payday approximately $50 million vs Canelo Álvarez (2025)

    Early Life

Terence Allan Crawford was born on September 28, 1987, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Terence Crawford Sr. and Debra Crawford. He grew up in North Omaha and began boxing at the C.W. Boxing Club when he was seven. His father and grandfather had boxed as amateurs, as had two of his uncles. His adolescence was turbulent. Crawford was frequently involved in fights and was expelled from several schools. Boxing gradually provided the structure that helped channel his aggression. As an amateur he compiled a record of roughly 70-12, with wins over future world champions Mikey Garcia and Danny García. He narrowly missed making the 2008 U.S. Olympic team and turned professional that year.

    2008 Shooting

On August 30, 2008, the 20-year-old was sitting inside his 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass after a late-night dice game in Omaha. While he was counting his winnings, someone fired multiple shots toward the vehicle. A bullet struck Crawford in the back of the head. The bullet’s trajectory was altered by the car window and traveled around his skull rather than through it. Remarkably, Crawford remained conscious and drove himself to Creighton University Medical Center for treatment. At the time he was only 4-0 as a professional. Within months, he was back in the ring.

    Lightweight Champion

His breakthrough arrived in March 2014, when he traveled to Glasgow, Scotland, to face Ricky Burns for the WBO lightweight championship. Crawford won a unanimous decision to capture his first world title. He returned home to Omaha for his first defense against Yuriorkis Gamboa. Hurt early, he adjusted and knocked Gamboa down four times before winning by ninth-round stoppage. That adaptability became his defining trait: he could begin a fight in one stance, identify what an opponent was doing successfully, and completely change his approach while the fight was still unfolding. He finished his lightweight run with a decision win over Raymundo Beltrán before moving up to 140 pounds.

    Undisputed Junior Welterweight Champion

Crawford won the vacant WBO junior welterweight championship in 2015 with a sixth-round stoppage of Thomas Dulorme. He unified titles against Viktor Postol in July 2016, winning a lopsided unanimous decision to add the WBC championship. In August 2017, he faced Julius Indongo with all four major belts at stake, dropping Indongo with a body shot in the third round to become undisputed junior welterweight champion — only the third male boxer of the four-belt era to hold all four belts in a division simultaneously.

    Welterweight Dominance

Crawford made his welterweight debut in June 2018 against Jeff Horn, who had previously defeated Manny Pacquiao. Crawford dominated Horn and stopped him in the ninth round to win the WBO welterweight championship. Over the next several years he defended the belt against José Benavidez Jr., Amir Khan, Egidijus Kavaliauskas, Kell Brook, Shawn Porter and David Avanesyan. All six fights ended in stoppages. Despite his dominance, securing a fight with Errol Spence Jr. became one of boxing’s most frustrating storylines, as promotional and network divisions repeatedly kept the sport’s two leading welterweights apart. That finally changed in 2023.

    Errol Spence Fight

Crawford and Spence met at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 29, 2023, with the undisputed welterweight championship at stake. Promoted as a near-even contest between two undefeated elite fighters, it instead became one of the most dominant performances in recent championship boxing history. Crawford knocked Spence down in the second round, twice more in the seventh, and the referee stopped the fight in the ninth. Crawford became undisputed welterweight champion and the first male boxer in the four-belt era to become undisputed in two weight divisions. The fight also transformed him financially: his total compensation was estimated at approximately $25 million, several times larger than any previous payday of his career.

    Junior Middleweight

After the Spence victory, Crawford moved to junior middleweight. In August 2024, he faced WBA champion Israil Madrimov at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Madrimov presented one of the most technically difficult fights of his career, ending an 11-fight knockout streak. Crawford prevailed by unanimous decision to win the WBA junior middleweight championship, making him a world champion in a fourth weight division and bringing his record to 41-0.

    Canelo Álvarez Fight

On September 13, 2025, Crawford moved directly from junior middleweight to super middleweight to challenge Canelo Álvarez for the undisputed 168-pound championship. The physical disparity was enormous: Crawford had spent much of his career at 135, 140 and 147 pounds, while Álvarez had competed successfully as high as light heavyweight. Crawford nevertheless controlled much of the fight with movement, timing, combinations and his ability to switch stances, winning a unanimous decision by scores of 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113. The victory made him the first male fighter of the four-belt era to become undisputed champion in three weight divisions — junior welterweight, welterweight and super middleweight — and a world champion in five divisions overall. The event was enormous: more than 70,000 people packed Allegiant Stadium, generating a gate of more than $47 million, and an estimated 41.4 million viewers watched the main event on Netflix, making it the most-viewed men’s championship boxing match of the century.

    Career Earnings

Crawford earned more than $100 million in the ring during his professional career. His earnings increased dramatically during the final decade as he progressed from highly regarded champion to one of boxing’s biggest attractions. Some reported figures represent guaranteed purses while others include additional fight compensation, so they are not always directly comparable. Notable paydays include $1.21 million vs Hank Lundy (2016), $1.3 million vs Viktor Postol (2016), $1.5 million vs Julius Indongo (2017), $3 million vs Jeff Horn (2018), $3.625 million vs José Benavidez Jr. (2018), $5.5 million vs Amir Khan (2019), $4 million vs Kell Brook (2020), $6 million vs Shawn Porter (2021), $10 million vs David Avanesyan (2022), approximately $25 million vs Errol Spence Jr. (2023), and approximately $50 million vs Canelo Álvarez (2025). Crawford publicly said before the Álvarez fight that he had accepted the matchup for $10 million. His eventual total compensation was substantially higher. Post-fight estimates placed his earnings at approximately $50 million, pushing his lifetime boxing earnings beyond $100 million. The $50 million figure also helps explain the difference between his financial position at the beginning and end of his career: as recently as 2015, he was fighting for purses in the low seven figures. A decade later, a single night’s work generated tens of millions. Crawford also earns money through endorsements and business interests. His partnerships have included Everlast, Riyadh Season and Crown Casino, and his sponsorship and business income has been estimated at more than $2 million annually.

    Retirement

On December 16, 2025, three months after beating Álvarez, Crawford announced his retirement from professional boxing. He walked away with a perfect record of 42 wins, zero losses and 31 knockouts — a five-division world champion and three-division undisputed champion, undefeated in nearly 18 years, ending his career immediately after the biggest victory and largest payday of his life. Crawford made clear the decision had not been caused by an inability to continue competing. He later revealed he had decided before the Álvarez fight that it would be his final appearance regardless of the outcome. His undefeated retirement invited comparisons with Floyd Mayweather Jr., although Crawford’s path was dramatically different: he reached his greatest level of mainstream fame and earning power during the final two fights of his career.

    Fighting Style

Crawford was one of the most adaptable boxers of his generation. Although naturally right-handed, he could fight effectively from either an orthodox or southpaw stance, frequently beginning conventionally before switching left-handed after identifying weaknesses in an opponent’s defense. Rather than overwhelming opponents immediately, he often spent the opening rounds studying them, with his fights becoming increasingly one-sided as he recognized patterns, adjusted his timing and found counters.

    Real Estate Investments

Crawford devoted a significant portion of his boxing income to real estate rather than extravagant spending. By late 2025, he had accumulated nearly 80 residential and commercial properties spread across Omaha, Kansas City and Colorado Springs, valued at more than $20 million. Most notably, he said he purchased the properties entirely with cash rather than mortgages. His holdings include rental properties and commercial real estate, and he has indicated he intends to devote significantly more time to real estate during retirement. He has also invested in the stock market.

    Watch Collection

Crawford has also developed a luxury watch collection valued at between $500,000 and $1 million, including watches from Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Ulysse Nardin and Hublot. Among his most notable pieces are a Patek Philippe Aquanaut and an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph. Two days before the Álvarez fight, luxury watch dealer WatchGuys gave Crawford a Rolex Submariner engraved “42-0” on the case back. At the time, his record was still 41-0. The prediction proved accurate. Crawford has said he views high-end watches as assets rather than simply jewelry and expects desirable models to retain or appreciate in value. After his Omaha home was burglarized in 2023, he became more cautious about publicly displaying jewelry and other valuables.

    Personal Life

Crawford has had a longtime relationship with Alindra “Esha” Person. They have raised six children together, including Person’s daughter from a previous relationship, whom Crawford has treated as his own. He remained closely connected to Omaha throughout his rise, frequently choosing to hold major fights in his hometown even after becoming a world champion. Three days after winning his first world championship in 2014, Omaha presented Crawford with a key to the city and declared March 4 “Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford Day.”
