“Laura Quinn Hawk is an interior designer and owner of LCH Interiors, founded in 2007. She’s married to former NFL linebacker A.J. Hawk and is the sister of former NFL quarterback Brady Quinn. The family lives in Columbus, Ohio, with their four children.”

Laura Quinn Hawk has built a successful interior design career while navigating life as part of one of the most connected families in professional sports. As the owner of LCH Interiors and mother of four, married to former NFL linebacker A.J. Hawk for 19 years, Laura has proven that she’s much more than just a famous athlete’s wife.

Her journey from a broadcasting student to a sought-after interior designer spans multiple states and high-profile projects. Founded in 2007 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, LCH Interiors has grown into a multi-state operation now based in Columbus, Ohio. Laura’s story includes one of college football’s most memorable moments and a thriving business that reflects her artistic vision.

    Who Is Laura Quinn Hawk?

Laura Quinn Hawk was born in 1985 in Dublin, Ohio, to parents Tyrone J. Quinn and Robin D. Quinn. She grew up in a tight-knit Irish-American family where sports and creativity both played central roles. As the oldest of three children, Laura has a younger brother, Brady Quinn, who became an NFL quarterback, and a younger sister, Kelly Katherine Quinn, who married NHL defenseman Jack Johnson.

The Quinn family’s athletic connections run deep. While Laura pursued fine arts and developed a passion for home design and decoration, her siblings found success in professional sports. This unique combination of artistic talent and sports family connections would later define much of Laura’s public identity.

Laura describes herself as someone who found “the love of my life at 22” and has built a family-centered life around her design career. Her ability to balance a demanding business with family responsibilities has made her a role model for many women in similar situations.

    Early Life and Family Background

Growing up in Dublin, Ohio, Laura was surrounded by both athletic excellence and creative expression. Her family valued creativity and hard work, with both her grandmother and mother owning clothing stores in Ohio. This early exposure to business ownership and aesthetic sensibility would prove influential in her later career choices.

Laura attended Dublin Coffman High School, where she played various sports while developing her artistic talents. Her brother Brady was already showing promise as a quarterback, but Laura carved out her own path in the visual arts. The family’s supportive environment allowed each child to pursue their individual passions while maintaining strong sibling bonds.

The Quinn household emphasized education and personal achievement. Laura’s parents, Tyrone and Robin Quinn, fostered an environment where all their children could pursue their passions. This foundation of support and high expectations helped shape Laura’s work ethic and determination to succeed in her chosen field.

    Education and Career Foundation

Laura’s educational journey took her from Dublin Coffman High School to the Baltimore School of Arts, where she developed her technical design skills. She later attended California State University, where she graduated with a degree in Broadcasting. This diverse educational background gave her both creative and communication skills that would prove valuable in her design career.

Early in her career, Laura apprenticed with Kathleen and Tommy Clements of Clements Design in Los Angeles, learning from what she calls “the two best in the business”. This mentorship provided her with high-level training in luxury interior design and introduced her to the standards she would later apply to her own firm.

The transition from broadcasting to interior design wasn’t immediate. Initially venturing into broadcasting, Laura soon found her true calling in interior design. Her educational background in both fields gave her a unique perspective on visual communication and client relations that would become hallmarks of her professional approach.

    LCH Interiors Business Success

Laura founded LCH Interiors in 2007 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she lived with her husband during his NFL career. The timing coincided with their marriage and A.J.’s established position with the Green Bay Packers. The company now operates in 6+ states with projects spanning luxury residential and commercial spaces.

LCH Interiors specializes in creating curated, luxurious spaces with a mixture of different elements, textures, styles, and personality. Laura’s design philosophy blends contemporary and traditional elements, creating unique spaces that reflect her clients’ individual tastes and lifestyles.

As her business and family grew, Laura expanded LCH Interiors to Columbus, where she now manages projects across the country. She works with assistants Katie Rothaar and Lexie Salupo, who help manage the growing workload and maintain the firm’s high standards.

The business has handled diverse projects, from luxury homes to commercial spaces. One notable recent project was designing Bridge’s End Brewery, where Laura created a home-like atmosphere scaled to commercial needs. Her services include everything from custom builds to remodels, with full interior design covering surfaces, furniture, lighting, rugs, paint, wall covering, drapery and blinds.

    Marriage to A.J. Hawk

Laura and A.J. Hawk met in 2004 through mutual friends while attending college. Their connection was immediate, and they became engaged within five months of dating. The couple married in 2007 in a simple courthouse ceremony, followed by an official celebration later that year.

Their relationship has weathered the unique challenges of professional sports careers. A.J. played linebacker for the Green Bay Packers for nine years before finishing his career with the Cincinnati Bengals. Throughout his career, Laura maintained her independence and built her design business rather than simply following the traditional “NFL wife” path.

Together, they have four children: Lennon Noel (born 2010), Hendrix Knight (born 2013), Vedder Saxon (born 2015), and Axl Jericho (born 2017). Laura frequently shares milestone photos of their children and family life on her Instagram account. The family’s musical-themed names reflect their creative interests and close family bond.

    The Famous Split Jersey Story

Laura gained national attention in 2005 during the Fiesta Bowl when Notre Dame faced Ohio State. The situation created a unique conflict of loyalties: her brother Brady Quinn was Notre Dame’s quarterback, while her boyfriend A.J. Hawk played linebacker for Ohio State.

Laura solved this dilemma by wearing a custom split jersey, half Notre Dame blue with Brady’s number 1 and half Ohio State scarlet and gray with A.J.’s number 7, creating the number 17. During the game, A.J. managed to sack his future brother-in-law twice and was named co-MVP of the bowl game, which Ohio State won.

The jersey became an iconic symbol of divided loyalties in college football. “It comes up randomly with Ohio State and Notre Dame fans all the time,” Laura noted years later. “That’s amazing to me, because 10 years ago there wasn’t social media like there is now”.

The original jersey is now framed in her parents’ basement alongside other family sports memorabilia. The moment has become part of college football lore and continues to be referenced during Ohio State-Notre Dame matchups.

    Current Projects and Family Life

Today, Laura successfully balances her thriving design business with family responsibilities. She describes her approach: “I’m a minimalist when it comes to my purse and carry a Bandolier everyday because it’s easy to access things I need and prevents my phone from breaking on job sites”. This practical approach extends to how she manages her busy schedule.

Laura’s business philosophy centers on genuine connection: “The only business principle I have is to tell people whether it’s a client, my family or the barista who makes my Starbucks drink how wonderful they are and the individual ways that they are special because people need to hear how amazing they are”.

LCH Interiors continues to grow, with Laura noting that “one particular client has tapped LCH Interiors to work on many of their homes across the country”. This repeat business demonstrates the trust and quality that have become her firm’s reputation.

A.J. has transitioned from playing to broadcasting, currently co-hosting “The Pat McAfee Show” on ESPN. The family remains based in Columbus, where Laura can maintain her business connections while staying close to her Ohio roots.
